Pacer TBSE10-25 heat shrink butt splices are used to safely connect one or more wires to another wire in marine, RV, automotive, and general electrical systems. They combine a crimp-style butt splice with heat shrink insulation to create a protected connection after crimping and heating.

This 12–10 AWG version uses yellow insulation for wire-size identification and is designed for larger wire splicing applications than the red 22–18 AWG or blue 16–14 AWG versions. When heated, the adhesive-lined heat shrink helps create an environmentally sealed connection for harsh conditions, helping protect against water, condensation, salt spray, corrosion, vibration, and strain. Pacer’s butt splice spec sheet lists the TBSE10 as a 12–10 AWG yellow butt splice with 0.28 in maximum wire O.D., 1.50 in terminal length, and package sizes including 25 pieces.

Check Before Ordering

  • Confirm your wire size is 12–10 AWG.
  • Confirm the 25-piece package size is correct for your project.
  • Use the correct crimping tool for insulated heat shrink butt splices.
  • Strip the wire to the proper length before inserting it into the splice.
  • Make sure the wire insulation meets the butt splice before crimping to avoid exposed conductor.
  • Perform a tug test after crimping and before heating.
  • Apply heat evenly from the center outward and avoid burning the connector or wire insulation.
  • Do not use this yellow 12–10 AWG splice for 22–18 AWG or 16–14 AWG wire unless the wire and connector specifications match.
