Xanbus Automatic Generator Start

The Xantrex Xanbus Automatic Generator Start helps keep batteries charged and AC power available without constant manual monitoring. The module monitors system conditions through the Xanbus network and can start a compatible generator when battery voltage is low, battery state of charge reaches a configured threshold, inverter demand is high, a thermostat calls for power, or a scheduled exercise cycle begins.

User-defined settings are managed through the Xanbus System Control Panel. Quiet Time programming can prevent automatic starts during designated hours, while generator exercise scheduling helps maintain generator readiness during extended periods of inactivity. Front-panel LEDs provide at-a-glance indications for power, generator operation, network communication, and faults.

The AGS supports most two-wire and three-wire generators with automatic-start capability. Installation requires generator-specific wiring and configuration, so generator documentation should be reviewed before selecting a generator type or making connections.
